The Steady Progress Mix... yup, steady progress - something I aimed for with this album, and sometimes it just didn't happen. It was more a case of sporadic pushing.
Two hours of music, even when they're remixes is a tall order. And maybe, because they ARE remixes it's even harder? People know the originals... some love them, so to take that, even as the original composer and to suggest presenting that track in a new style or reinterpretation can be very daunting!
I really, really hope I've done a good job... the best job I could do, re-making these tracks.
I know I put all my heart and soul into doing it!
And yes, it took long enough... or maybe it was always going to take as long as it took? Perhaps I just had to be in the right frame of mind to tackle each and every song.
Yes, the more I think about it, I honestly believe that artistic projects will always take their merry time and you can't rush them, or they will fall apart or sound incomplete or be unfaithful to the original.
I guess the moral here is, don't give up on your ideas or dreams... keep plodding and you'll get there eventually. Even if it's not on 2 x CDs it's out there, people can hear it and that's all that matters.

(Haystack) One of my favorite VG OSTs ever. Module clearly had an immense amount of fun (and blood, sweat, and tears) making this. Thanks, man! I may be done playing Shatter, but I'll be listening to your music for years to come. Goes particularly well with my after-midnight, half-hour drives home each night after work! J.R. Caldoon
